Guidelines

Authors are advised to follow the IHS Guidelines for authors in preparing their manuscript before submission. Manuscripts not conforming to these guidelines may be returned.

Types of Articles

Three types of manuscripts may be submitted to IHS:

Regular Articles: These should describe new and carefully confirmed findings, and experimental procedures should be given in sufficient detail for others to verify the work. The length of a full paper should be between 6 to 18 manuscript pages.

Short Communications: A Short Communication is a concise, but independent report suitable for recording the results of complete small investigations including the reporting of additional controls and confirmatory results in other settings, as well as negative results. The style of main sections need not conform to that of full-length papers. Short communications should be between 5 to 9 manuscript pages in length.

Review: Submissions of reviews and perspectives covering topics of current interest are welcome and encouraged. Reviews should be concise and no longer than 4 to 6 manuscript pages. Reviews are also peer-reviewed.

Proofs and Reprints

Electronic Proofs will be sent through e-mail to the corresponding author as a PDF format file. Page proofs are considered to be the final version of the manuscript. With the exception of typographical or minor clerical errors, no changes will be made in the manuscript at the proof stage. Authors can freely download the PDF file from which they can print unlimited copies of their articles.

Copyright

Copyrights for articles published in IHS are retained by the authors, with first publication rights granted to the journal. The journal/publisher is not responsible for subsequent uses of the work. It is the author's responsibility to bring an infringement action if so desired by the author.

The user assumes the entire risk as to the accuracy and the use of this document. This document may be copied and distributed subject to the following conditions:
1) All text, tables and graphics must be copied without modification and all pages must be included;

Publication Fees

If the article is accepted for publication, author(s) will be asked to pay the article publication fees in order to defray the operating costs, which depends on page numbers, word count, figures, tables …etc. Also, the author(s) should take care of the proofreading issue according to the International Humanities Studies policy. Publication of an article in the International Humanities Studies is not contingent upon the author's ability to pay the charges. Neither is acceptance to pay the processing fee a guarantee that the paper will be accepted for publication. Authors may still request (in advance) that the editorial office waive some of the processing fee under special circumstances. The payment method will be notified by the editor after the acceptance of the article.
